ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme that provides
you with a £200 grant for training.
It’s a great way to learn new skills and because the money isn’t
a loan, you don’t need to worry about paying it back.
ILA or Individual Learning Account is a £200 grant that can be used
towards the cost of your forklift operator or instructor training.
To be eligible, you must satisfy a number of conditions are you:
- Aged 16 or over?
- On benefits or do you earn less than £22,000 per annum?
- Resident in Scotland?
If your ILA forklift application has been approved, ILA Scotland will
send you notification of your ILA account number.
Once they issue your ILA account number, you can book our
ILA forklift training course.
As soon as your course is booked, ILA Scotland will send
you a token.
This token is all you require to pay for the forklift course you
want. We will provisionally book a forklift course at the time
of booking as tokens are issued very quickly.
Your ILA token can be used to fund an evening or weekend
forklift refresher course.
You must bring your token with you on the day of the course,
as we can’t deliver any forklift training without it.
For some courses you may be required to contribute towards the cost,
we will advise you of this at the time of booking.
The ILA token is available every 12 months so you can come back every
year and learn to operate other forklift trucks.
